Born and raised in the Eastern Sierra Mountains near Mammoth Lakes, California, Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University and became a general contractor specializing in custom homes. He married his wife, Hannah, in 2009, and they have three children and a St. Bernard.

Before transitioning to real estate, Tyler served as a Long Valley Fire Department training captain for 16 years. When Hannah accepted a role managing hospital emergencies in the Treasure Valley, the family relocated to Idaho. His background in construction continues to serve his clients as he helps them navigate the home buying process.

Fun facts: Tyler has traveled to Bolivia, Argentina, Honduras, China, Zambia, and Thailand, assisting in rebuilding homes and supporting families after natural disasters. His last name, Haakana, is pronounced HAH-kuh-nah.
